What It Is

Pink eye (conjunctivitis) is a bacterial infection of the eyes. Symptoms include reddening of the white part of the eye, itching, swelling, watering, and discharge around the eyes.

Visit an eye doctor or your local emergency room right away if you are experiencing blurred vision or vision loss, you have been diagnosed with chlamydia or gonorrhea, or your eyes have been damaged due to chemical exposure.
